Shipping and Receiving Operations

This position executes activities related to warehouse management, in compliance with Standard Operations Procedures, and working in conjunction with the rest of the warehouse staff.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Perform cycle counts according to program
  • Pick materials for shipments according to ship requests
  • Receive and move materials from production and purchases into warehouse locations
  • Scan, box and label shipments as required by the shipping schedule
  • Inspection and receipt of incoming purchase orders
  • Verify that all MSDS for receipts of chemical substances are documented in our “Right to Know” center, otherwise escalate to purchasing before receipt
  • Receipt of intercompany transfers
  • Maintain organized documental records of all incoming transactions
  • Individually label all incoming products accordingly
  • Collaborate with other activities related to the warehouse
  • Coordinate the disposal (exit) of waste, filing the respective logs and manifests
  • Proactively recommend improvements to team leader / manager
  • Executes the functions described on the relevant training matrix
  • Participate in all 5S required activities
  • Follow any and all our ISO 14001 procedures related to reduce our environmental impact
  • Attend any relevant process, product, or professional development training as assigned by manager
  • Other duties needed or required.

 

Authority

  • Stop production if the product or process is not as standard
  • Addresses and stops any dangerous activity as may cause damage to the product, process, personal and/or environment

Education: 6th grade or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 1-year experience on warehouse operations
Computer Skills: Medium computer skills, ERP systems experience preferred
Certifications & Licenses: Truck lift operator license preferred
